Meine kleine Tora  ist eine Reise durch die Geschichte der Bibel – der 5 Bücher Moses – in Bildern und mit Fragen. Lehrreiche und fröhliche Comics zu allen Wochenabschnitten.

Im vorliegenden Buch werden die Wochenabschnitte, genau wie in der Synagoge in der richtigen Reihenfolge behandelt und erklärt. Es ist ein Spass für die ganze Familie.  Und die Fragen nach jeder Parascha, nach jedem Abschnitt gestalten den Schabbat Tisch spannend. Die Comics ergänzen das Lernen.  Die modernen Bilder animieren die Leser zum Denken. Der Teilnehmer fragt. Man rätselt. Der Unterricht wird lebend und abwechslungsreich.

Die Tora ist der erste Teil des Tanach, der hebräischen Bibel. Sie besteht aus fünf Büchern. Im Judentum nennt man die Tora auch „Chamischa Chumsche Tora“ ‚Die fünf Fünftel der Tora‘. Die Tora  ist der erste Teil der hebräischen Bibel. Sie besteht aus fünf Büchern. Die griechische Bezeichnung Pentateuchos, das „Fünfbuch“, ergab den in der Fachliteratur gängigen Begriff Pentateuch.  In deutschen Bibelübersetzungen reformatorischer Tradition bezeichnet man diese Schriftengruppe als die fünf Bücher Mose.

Tora ist ein Schlüsselbegriff der Hebräischen Bibel. Mit der jeweiligen Übersetzung ins Deutsche fallen auch Vorentscheidungen, wie die Tora vom Leserpublikum wahrgenommen werden soll. Das hebräische Wort bedeutet „lehren, unterweisen“.

Mit dem Begriff Tora wird auch die Torarolle bezeichnet. Dies ist eine handgeschriebene Rolle aus Pergament, mit dem unpunktierten hebräischen Text der fünf Bücher Mose. Und genau aus dieser Torarolle wird in der Synagoge während der Woche und vor allem am Schabbat gelesen. Alle Kapitel , Wochenabschnitte werden über ein Jahr verteilt gelesen. Jedes jüdisches Jahr werden die wochenabschnitte in der gleichen Reihenfolge gelesen.
